I turn text into immersion

02 Between worlds

Most products need both halves.
I work on the seam.

One person designing the idea and building the system that carries it means nothing gets lost in a hand-off. The interface knows what the database can do, and the database is shaped by what the interface needs to say.

03 Selected worlds

Five projects. Five visual languages,
each drawn from the thing itself.

Three products I run under Binary Brain Technologies and two sites for clients - all designed and built by me, from the first sketch to the deploy.

04 Below the surface

This page, taken apart.

The best evidence of engineering is the thing you are using. Here is what this page is made of - and what it is doing on your device right now.

  1. 01

    Content

Server-rendered HTML. Every heading, project and link on this page is in the HTML before a single script runs.

  2. 02

    Interface

React 19 on Next.js 16. CSS modules and design tokens, no UI kit. Three typefaces: Fraunces, Archivo, IBM Plex Mono.

  3. 03

    Motion

Scroll drives CSS custom properties; route changes use the View Transitions API. With reduced motion, nothing moves.

  4. 04

    Space

The Rift is one fragment shader in plain WebGL - no 3D library. Resolution adapts to the device and it pauses off-screen.

  5. 05

    Data

One typed registry of projects. Every name and fact on the site is read from it; case studies are generated statically.

  6. 06

    Delivery

Static pages on Vercel. No cookies, no tracking by default.

05 Process

How an idea becomes a product

  1. 01Listen.

Understand the people and the problem before touching a pixel.

  2. 02Think.

Find the one idea the whole product can be built around.

  3. 03Design.

Give that idea a visual language with rules the whole team can follow.

  4. 04Build.

Make the interface and the system behind it - one person, one model of the problem.

  5. 05Break.

Try to prove it wrong: slow devices, empty states, keyboard only, bad input.

  6. 06Ship.

Put it live, measure what matters, and keep the copy as true as the code.

06 Profile

Stuck between high-tech and fantasy books.

I’m Michał. I design interfaces and build the systems behind them - and I have never been able to keep the two apart. Technology on one shelf, fantasy on the other; the work usually happens somewhere in between.

Today I build products under my company, Binary Brain Technologies, and sites for a small number of clients. Husband, father, gamer, and a very good sleeper.

Something that needs
both halves?

A product, a site, or an idea that does not fit a template yet. Write to me - a few sentences are enough to start.
